After reading the reviews online, I went and got my hair straightened yesterday at HK Salon in Milpitas. I HIGHLY recommend this salon. Very friendly and efficient staff, extremely clean. I am super thrilled with the job they did. V and Laura worked on my hair. They took good care of me. Don't bother going elsewhere. This place rocks!

They give the best result and the best customer service. I get a lot of compliments about my hair. I took one of my friends to H&K the next day coz she really like my hair. and guess what she liked the result as well =) I give them props! one thing bout Japanese Stregtening though, process is too long hehe but hey its worth it!

I give them 5 stars and 2 thumbs up! I got my hair japanese hair straightened in Dec 2007 and I love my results! I come from a black/filipino heritage, so my hair was very brittle, dry, frizzy and very wavy. After I got my hair straightened, it is now, VERY soft, smooth, managable and shiney. The staff is very friendly. Salon is well managed and clean. I will be going there for all my regrowth touch-ups! THANKS Laura, Mi(y) and Staff. You gals are the greatest!

This is a nice place. Normally when we walk to a Salon, everytime you see different stylists. But i see the same stylists in H & K from the day they started. It is clean and well lighted. I use this place since 2000.

Try to avoid the guy with headphone. Ask for Mi(y) or Laura

I found this place by surfing yahoo locals. I found the reviews posted on yahoo very helpful. The staff were really kind and friendly. Laura gave me a great haircut. Vee did an excellent job in straightening. The results are well worth it. I have great looking shiny hair.

It saves me a great deal of time everyday in the morning. No more straighteners and blow dryers in my routine. Thanks to Laura and her staff. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a high quality yet reasonably priced salon.

H-K hair salon is really really the best salon. I did Japanesse Hair Straightening from there and I am really impressed with thier service. This wasmy fourth time. Before that I went 3 different Hair Salons and all they did broke my hair or burn my sculp. I spend lot more money than this one. All of them claimed that they know the techinique but in reality only few knows this Japanesse Hair Straightening technique. And they don't even use the real product. But H-K use Liscio product and you can see it. This is the first time my hair is not falling like before. I am really happy that I found this salon. I highly recomend this salon. They will provide the best quality service and the price is half than other salon. I will diefinitely go for my re-touch.

I went to see Laura to get an updo for a wedding. She did a great job and I got so many compliments. I paid only $35 and my hair looked better than the other bridesmaids that paid $65 to go somewhere else.

Everyone was friendly. I'm going back next weekend to get my hair straightened and will definately be back to get my regular haircuts.

The first timeI had my hair straightened by Laura, I was so impressed. My hair was so straight and shiny. Strangers would stop me just to tell me I have such a beautiful hair. I have thick black wavy hair, and it took ten months before I had it straightened again.

Thank you Laura and the rest of the staff for a job well done.

I went to this salon purely based on reviews from Yahoo and I highly recommend it. Laura, Vee, and Tiffany were all very skilled and patient and I really enjoyed their service. Vee was exceptionally wonderful and you can tell she is a genuinely good person. These 3 women were very patient and detail oriented and they seem to really care about the end result in making you feel your very best! I am looking forward to visiting again.

I just got my hair straightened today and it turned out really pretty. I received great service. Staffs were very friendly. The massage that Vi gave me was excellent, I really liked it. Laura was very nice, accommodating and humble. Thanks to Laura, Vi and Tiffany, you guys did a great job! I will surely come back. Good luck. Highly Recommened.

My whole experience from the moment I walked in was great! Everyone was nice and warm. Inside was clean and looked to be high-end. I had a haircut, color, and hot oil. The hot oil they used on my hair made it so soft and silky that I just had to buy some to use @ home. I give this salon a A++ rating. I am definatly a repeat customer!

I have been their customer for 6 years now and they are the only people I go to. I highly reccomend Tiffany because she is my stylist. She gets it right the first time unlike some other places I've been to. The ambiance of the place is fun and energetic! For the service and price, this place is hard to beat!

I had my hair straightened two weeks ago at H-K Hair & Beauty salon in Milpitas. I love the feel and the ease of taking care of my hair in the morning sooo much. They use the best product in the market right now for the Japanese hair straightening. Ask for Laura since she is an excellent hairstylist and very friendly.

Just want to add to my original comment. I got the Japanese straight retouch on the new growth after 6 months. The process is the same without any damages to the straight ends of my hair which is wonderful. I've been using the ER treatment once a week to keep a healthy and manageable hair. Laura has been taking a very good care of my hair... Thanks.

I went to get my hair straighten for the first time which took 5- 6 hours. I have to admit it was tiring, but it was all worth it at the end. They have great customer service just like the other ladies had said in the comment. They are awesome! I give them the brownie points for asking me if I was hungry and that they are willing to buy it for me. My hair's condition was black wavy hair, puffy, ends of my hair were dry, bleach & dyed. After the process, my hair was amazingly shiny, straight; texture of my hair looked healthy. Be sure to tell them the whole history of your hair (bleached, dyed, dry etc) To Women who have slightly Dry hair (like me) be sure to buy the hair treatment because after you wash your hair without the proper treatment after, your hair DRIES UP and it tangles (this only applies to abused hair) Cost? Depends on the length of the hair ($100-200).I paid $180.

The salon offers an excellent service in the Japanese hair straightening for a reasonable price compared to other salons in the area. I had been searching around for a while and finally found this salon from my co-worker.

I was worry that my highlighted hair can get damaged after the hair straightening service. But now my hair is even shinier and smoother with the treatment that came with the service. This salon is the best in what they do... another kudo for an excellent service!!!

I found this hair salon through Yahoo! Search with "Japanese hair straightening in milpitas". The reviews are great so I called them and got an appointment the next day with one of the hair stylist. I had the consultation with Laura about my hair texture and decided to go with the Straightening Cream (the new product that gives more body to the hair).

The whole process last about 5 hours for my shoulder length curly hair. During the rinse of the hair, the assistant gave me a very good nape massage that helped me to relax my tension. At the end, I couldn't believe how smooth and silky my hair turns out to be without feeling like I'm wearing a wig. I want to give another "Excellent" review for them and would definitely come back for other services. Love it!!!

For the last ten years, Laura take care of my husband, me and my 2 daughters's hair beautifully. Now I live in Seattle, but my 2 daughters always want to wait until the summer to visit their grandparents in SanJose' and also love to be pamper an afternoon in H-K hair salon by Laura. Laura and her staffs are outstanding on customer service.

I have been a devoted customer for many years and Laura is the best hairstylist I've ever had! She is not only a great hairstylist, she is also a color specialist and knows exactly what colors would look good on you. She's great and I highly recommend her.

I went in for the Japanese straight perm and came out very satisfied. Everyone is friendly and really seem to know their stuff. They spent about four hours but did a great job. A hot oil treatment and haircut were also included and it only cost a fraction of what other salons charge! Would definitely go back and will definitely refer friends and family.

I read the reviews for this place on-line and decided to try it. Laura and her sister Vee (actually mostly Vee) worked on my hair for ~5 hours. They are warm, friendly and know their stuff well. For being a first time customer, I felt pretty comfortable there, and my thick asian curly black hair is extremely straight and smooth now! :)

I took the advice and got my hair straightened with Laura at H-K Hair & Beauty in Milpitas. The service was great and she is very knowledgeable about the whole procedure. I'd recommend her service to anyone who has a doubt to get the hair straighten. You should call and make a appointment first.
